Staff Opportunities

Because the Flying H Youth Ranch is not dependent on government funding and desires to stay affordable to families, our staff are missionaries supported by churches and individuals. If you are interested in becoming involved in the Lord’s work and serving youth in need at the Flying H Youth Ranch, we are currently in need of additional staff in the areas of:

Youth Service

This position involves direct supervision of the boys in various character building activities such as work crew, hiking, camping, swimming, sports, etc. Position requires 40+/- hrs per week with three being night shifts.

Qualifications: Must be able to relate to teenage boys as a mentor and authority figure, be alert and diligent in supervision of boys, be physically fit for hiking and camping, and have a flexible and willing heart to serve youth.

Teacher

This position involves teaching various classes four days a week at Hope Academy, the Ranch’s on-site school for the teen boys. In addition to teaching, Youth Service shifts will be required where needed, especially in the summer months when school is out. Position requires 40+/- hrs per week with one-two being night shifts.

Qualifications: Certification is a plus, but not required. Must be able to relate to teenage boys as a mentor and authority figure, be alert and diligent in supervision of boys, have patience with students with learning disabilities, and have a flexible and willing heart to serve.
